The app utilizes the smartphone's camera feature to scan the purchaser's driver's license, confirming if the customer is at least 21 years old (the minimum legal age set by the federal government for tobacco product purchases). Alternatively, retailers have the option to manually input the birthdate from the photo ID for a swift age verification process.

This application is designed solely to aid retailers in verifying a purchaser's age and does not authenticate the legitimacy of the provided ID. Retailers bear the responsibility of ensuring that tobacco products are not sold to individuals below 21 years of age. Importantly, all information scanned or entered into the application is not shared, transmitted, or stored on the user's device, a third-party platform, or any governmental server.
